Wellington Lifestyle Photographer – Eat My Lunch – Fundraiser Portrait Session

Last month, I hosted a weekend of portrait sessions at Twig and Arrow’s studio as a way of giving back to the community. My heart is so full looking at these images because these are the families who believed in our cause and donated so generously.
With their donations, we were able to buy 900 packed lunches from Eat My Lunch and give them to children in the country, who would otherwise go to school without. I am really blown away and beyond grateful.

And of course this wouldn’t have been successful without the support from these amazing people.

Two Thousand And Sixteen

Can you believe it’s the last day of 2016?
I can honestly still remember what we did on the first of January this year and now it’s the 31st of December already!

This year has been really good to us personally and professionally, but just like with everyone else we’ve also had to deal with disappointments and frustrations.

This year, what I personally tried my hardest to do was to be grateful for everything and everyone in my life.
I know it is a cliché, but sometimes it’s hard to see what you have when you’re constantly comparing.
I think I’m getting better at it, I really do believe that a grateful heart is a happy heart.

May we all strive to become a better us in 2017!

Last year, I started dabbling with film photography. There’s so much excitement in just documenting without knowing what the outcome will be.
I’ve really been enjoying rethinking and refocusing before pressing the shutter, and I know there is still a lot to learn but I thought I’d show you some of the images that we took with our film camera during our trip.

I’m sure each one of us has our list of places we would love to visit one day.
I have to say Cambridge was never really on my list and I never really thought that I’d get to visit it one day.
But I did, and I even got to take my family with me.
Thanks to Alfred and Emma, who were the reason for our visit!
We even got to go on our private tour of Cambridge university because Alfred was teaching in one of the colleges at the time.
How awesome is that?!

I will forever be grateful for all the opportunities my job has given me.
Cambridge was possibly one of the most charming little towns I’ve seen, and I’m sure anyone who’d been there would agree with me when I say, it was hard not to fall in love with it.

Wellington Maternity Session: Reuben & Jess

Earlier this year, I got to hang out with this cool couple, who was beaming with joy and excitement and couldn’t wait to meet their baby boy.
Jess is a photographer herself and before this session, she was messaging me telling me how nervous she was at the thought of standing in front of the camera.
As you can tell from these photographs though, there was no reason for her to be nervous because she was a natural!
Jess gave birth to Baxter in August, a gorgeous blue-eyed baby boy, who I’m meeting on Tuesday!
Hooray for baby cuddles!

Hey Sunshine!

Do you want to know a secret?
Here it is.
I had forgotten about these photos until this morning, when I was trying to organise our personal photos from this year.

These photos were taken in Summer when we were scouting a venue I hadn’t seen before.
My husband loves driving, so whenever we have a free weekend, he will find an excuse to drive somewhere.
Fortunately, there’s something beautiful at every turn in this country of ours.

Here’s our Isabel. It’s been awhile since this gorgeous face has graced my blog.
I’m looking forward to finding more of these photographs in my computer.
