It’s another rainy and cold afternoon here in Wellington as I write this, but today in particular I don’t seem to mind with photos as gorgeous as these.
Gary and Megan were married in Pounui Homestead a few Saturdays ago.
Their wedding was as bright and radiant as the sunflowers that were in bounty and the beautiful sunshine that blessed us in the Wairarapa.
Could you ask for a more perfect day?

I was going through one photo of perfection after another when I thought ‘why not post all of them?’
They certainly brightened my drizzly afternoon and I know they will brighten yours too.

We started the day in Little Branches, a charming bed and breakfast in Featherston.

The gorgeous Rebecca Connor did an amazing job with Megan’s makeup. As always!

Megan’s beautiful smile, her dainty lace gown and that swing were the perfect ingredients for these gorgeous photos!

A wedding is an intimate celebration of love and the joining of not just two people but their families as well.
We get to hear the couple’s stories  and how they met. That’s why it’s always humbling to get invited to cover a wedding.
Sarah and Reti’s wedding was definitely all about their love and their family and we hope these photographs will tell the story of their wedding day.

Last month, we got to cover Jeremy and Emma’s beautiful wedding at Silverstream Retreat.
They were married on a typical wet and cold Wellington summer day, but their wedding was anything but typical.
There were polka dots, pearls, lace and a gorgeous La Sposa gown that fitted the vintage theme perfectly.
But those details were only the icing on top of the cake, because what made the day really wonderful was this couple.
Happy and in love, there’s no doubt they belong with each other!
Our first wedding of 2012 couldn’t have been more awesome!

For their portraits, we made our way to the historic Silverstream railway museum, the old rail coach fit so perfectly with their vintage theme!

One thing I remember from this afternoon is the lightheartedness that comes from Lance and Norma.. and how much laughing was involved during the entire shoot.
They say laughter is the best medicine, and if that is right.. these two are definitely going to live a long happy life together, because they sure laugh to their heart’s content.
Lance and Norma are getting married in Riversdale tomorrow and I’m really excited to be there to capture the beginning of their ever after.
